I had a really hard time finding the appropriate driver for my Sigmatel Audio Microphone Array on my Dell Inspiron 1720 Laptop. I accidentally deleted it when I was trying to mute the mic - oops! - and then couldn't get it reinstalled. Eventually, I found it on Dell's site here:
Sigmatel Audio Driver.
I think the secret was to search by my service tag and not just by the model of the laptop - so, take the small amount of effort to turn over your laptop and write down this code to save you a lot of work!

If that link is broken, the direct link is below. I warn you that this version is from June 2008. That's quite recent as I'm writing this, but I'll likely not update it and might be pretty old when you look to download it.
